1% better every day

Since the day I turned 30, I have been trying to become a better version of myself, 1% better every day, in every aspect of my life. If you improve 1% better every day for a year, you’ll end up 37 times better by the time you’re done.

To do this, I challenge myself, I test many methods and above all, I consume a lot of content. Like a fucking lot.

This newsletter is a digest of everything I have seen, read, listened to or tried during my journey.

My life in 1080 blocs

Days are long but years are short. It’s important to make to most of every day that life has to offer.

It’s an idea that I got from the blog “Wait But Why”, that I got made to measure. It’s a whole life, represented but the number of months. When I say a “whole life” it’s a life of 90 years. So 1080 circles that represent the 1080 months from the day we are born until the day we die.

We can see the board in two different ways

We can either see it as anxiety inducing as every month I color in a circle. So I’ve lived a month. It shows me what I’ve lived and the number of months that I have left to live. So we can either see it as anxiety inducing or in a completely different way by realising that days are long but years are short. Realising that life is short and that it’s important to make to most of every month that life has to offer.

Days are long but years are short

There are those who say that’s it’s really scary but I find it nice to be made aware that life goes by quickly. MinuteBuzz was 10 years ago. I’m 35 years old and I don’t want to get to the end with loads of regrets or not having accomplished what I wanted to. This board is a gentle reminder that we have a time limit, that our days on earth are numbered and it’s important to know how to make the most of it.
